AIThe Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has provided several digital services in seven languages to pilgrims via Tawakkalna app, which currently has over 17 million users enjoying 241 digital services.
The services are provided in cooperation with several government authorities through the app, which can be used in 77 countries worldwide. SDAIA is keen to provide smart solutions, achieve digital empowerment, and provide technical support for government agencies so that they can provide optimal services. During the Hajj season, pilgrims can view the app’s services, including the messaging services, in Arabic, English, Filipino, Indonesian, Bangladeshi, Urdu, and Hindi.
The services allow the app users to receive alerts about the Hajj season and follow up on weather conditions in Makkah and Madinah in cooperation with the National Center for Meteorology. The app also allows pilgrims to browse and read the Holy Quran and learn about the Qiblah and the prayer times in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
Moreover, the app allows reviewing the Hajj smart cards and entry permits to the holy sites for vehicles and individuals working in fields related to the Hajj through the digital wallet in cooperation with the General Directorate of Public Security. Through the app, pilgrims can access the Manasik Gate, which allows users holding Hajj permits to issue Umrah permits during the Hajj season.
The app also allows pilgrims to utilize the “Help Me” service and reviews the volunteer cards in this regard in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. These services come in light of SDAIA’s efforts to provide forward-looking capabilities supported by continuous innovation in artificial intelligence. SDAIA seeks to utilize these capabilities to serve the state’s departments in the various fields related to serving the pilgrims during this Hajj season. SDAIA stresses the importance of integrating with all government sectors concerned with the Hajj to provide optimal services to pilgrims. Such efforts align with the wise leadership's directives to exert the utmost efforts to serve the pilgrims within the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP) framework, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
