Jordan condemns Houthi ballistic missile attack on Riyadh

The Jordanian government on Monday condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of Riyadh with a ballistic missile, which was successfully intercepted and destroyed by Saudi Royal Air Defense Forces. The government also denounced the militia's attempts to target civilians and civilian sites in the Saudi cities of Bish, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu, describing these acts as a blatant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity, and a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.

Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, stability, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
