Saudi Arabia condemns continued Iran-backed militia drone attacks on Eastern Province oil facilities

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the continued drone attacks by Iran-backed militias in Iraq targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.

In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s determination to safeguard its security and sovereignty, and its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to respond to aggression and deter attackers. The statement also reiterated the need for the Iraqi government to take all necessary steps to prevent its territory from being used as a launchpad for such attacks.
