Civil Defense declares end of threat in Khamis Mushait

Saudi Civil Defense announced on Sunday that the threat to Khamis Mushait has ended, urging citizens and residents to continue following instructions and guidance issued by the relevant authorities, with a strict reminder to avoid gatherings and any form of filming.

The authority emphasized the importance of adhering to official directives to ensure public safety, and advised people to call 911 in case of emergencies.

Earlier, Civil Defense had called on citizens and residents to remain calm, move to the nearest safe location inside buildings, stay away from windows, glass, and open areas, and to avoid leaving buildings or standing on balconies and rooftops until the threat had passed.

Instructions also stressed the need to seek shelter in the nearest building when outdoors and to avoid dangerous locations. Motorists who receive warnings while driving were advised to pull over safely, away from bridges and tall buildings.
