Pharmacists’ role expands to patient education and home consultations, says King Fahad Medical City official

Abdullah Al-Shehri, Director of Pharmaceutical Services at King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, said the pharmacist’s role has evolved beyond the pharmacy to include patient education, medication consultations, and home pharmacy services.

Speaking in a video report on Al-Ikhbariya programs, he added that new services now offered to patients include home delivery of medications and pharmaceutical consultations.

Al-Shehri emphasized that these new services help deliver care directly to patients wherever they are, making it easier to provide high-quality pharmaceutical services and improve patient care.
