Algeria strongly condemns drone attack targeting Makkah

Algeria has strongly condemned and denounced the targeting of the city of Makkah by a hostile drone, describing it as a highly dangerous act of aggression against Muslim holy sites worldwide, a blatant provocation of Muslim sentiments, and a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the Grand Mosque.

In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Algeria reaffirmed its full support for Saudi Arabia in protecting Muslim holy sites and all territories of the Kingdom. The statement reiterated Algeria’s backing for any measures Saudi Arabia deems appropriate to ensure its security, stability, and national sovereignty.

Algeria also renewed its call for an immediate halt to such attacks and for an end to all forms of escalation and provocation in the region, warning that these actions only complicate the situation further and expose the region to dangerous and unpredictable consequences.
