Five Yemenis arrested in Jazan for smuggling 95 kg of qat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of Jazan have arrested five Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations after they were caught attempting to smuggle 95 kilograms of qat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's X platform, the relevant authorities have completed initial legal procedures against the detainees, who, along with the seized narcotics, have been handed over to the competent authority.

Security agencies urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, or the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995. Reports can also be submitted via email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
