Six Yemenis arrested in Asir for smuggling 120 kg of khat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested six Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 120 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official account on X, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both the detainees and the seized khat have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at (995) or by email at (Email:[email protected]). All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
