Saudi Arabia must maintain global tech leadership, says cybersecurity expert

Cybersecurity advisor Dr. Ahmed Al-Hussaini has emphasized the responsibility to maintain Saudi Arabia’s position at the forefront of technologically advanced nations, and to continue the path of development and innovation to strengthen its leadership in the sector.

Speaking in an interview with Al Ekhbariya channel, Al-Hussaini noted that Saudi Arabia has retained the top spot in the Global Competitiveness Report’s cybersecurity index for the past three years.

He explained that this achievement reflects international recognition of the Kingdom’s progress, particularly in the technology sector. Al-Hussaini added that as digital services expand, the responsibility for protection grows, especially given the increasing risks associated with this growth.
