Yemeni national arrested for smuggling khat in Jazan region

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Harth sector of Jazan region have arrested a Yemeni national for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 141 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and both the suspect and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or by email at [email protected]. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
