Saudi, Pakistan foreign ministers sign mutual visa exemption agreement

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly’s high-level week.

According to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides reviewed the close cooperation between their countries and discussed the latest regional developments, as well as efforts to resolve tensions through diplomatic means.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the ministers signed a mutual exemption agreement for short-stay visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports, aiming to facilitate procedures, enhance coordination, and expand areas of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States Reema bint Bandar, Director General of Policy Planning Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud, and Political Affairs Advisor Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan.
