Three Ethiopians arrested in Asir for smuggling 80 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested three Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 80 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed, and the suspects and seized materials have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by email at ([email protected]). All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
