Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh affirmed that the Saudi leadership gives great attention to the houses of worship.

During his visit to the Eastern Province, Al-Sheikh announced the signing of contracts for the maintenance, cleaning, and operation of 942 mosques and grand mosques at a cost exceeding 56 million riyals (SAR), and the launch of the “We Care” initiative to provide more than 500 volunteer opportunities.

The minister stressed that the Houthi terrorist group is a tool for the enemies of Islam, targeting the faith of Muslims and their holy sites, and condemned its attacks on Makkah and Madinah.

Al-Sheikh confirmed the ministry’s determination to implement awareness programs to expose the group’s dangers, while praising the heroism of the armed forces and security personnel in protecting the nation and its holy sites.
