Saudi foreign minister attends GCC meeting ahead of UN General Assembly

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan took part in the coordination meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council, held ahead of the start of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed key topics and issues to be addressed during the General Assembly, as well as the joint efforts and unified positions of GCC member states on these matters.

Participants also discussed recent developments and regional updates, their impact on security and stability in the region, and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to address current challenges.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and Supervisor General of the Ministry’s Agency for Economic and Development Affairs.
