Weqaa launches nationwide rabies vaccination campaign for pets

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) has launched a wide-ranging campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies across all regions of the Kingdom.

The center stated that the campaign coincides with World Rabies Day and aims to protect pets from the disease, as well as to promote public health, since rabies is a zoonotic disease that can affect both humans and animals.

Weqaa called on citizens and residents to participate in vaccinating their pets to help prevent the disease, highlighting the importance of this step in limiting the spread of rabies.
