Saudi-French ties reach advanced strategic partnership, analyst says

Political analyst Dr. Mutlaq Al-Mutairi said that Saudi-French relations have developed into an advanced strategic partnership, enhancing coordination on regional and international issues and supporting expanded cooperation between the two countries across various fields.

Speaking in an interview with Al-Ekhbariya TV, he added that Saudi Arabia and France share common ground on several issues at multiple levels, including a shared vision on the Palestinian cause and the establishment of genuine guarantees for the creation of a Palestinian state.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman departed on Friday for a state visit to France.

The Royal Court stated that the visit comes at the direction of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and in response to an invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron.
