US congratulates Saudi Arabia on National Day, hails strategic ties

The United States on Wednesday extended its congratulations to Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day, affirming the depth of relations between the two countries.

In an official statement, the US Secretary of State conveyed his warmest congratulations to the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people, noting that National Day commemorates the unification of Saudi Arabia under King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Strengthening the strategic partnership

The secretary stated that over the past year, the United States and Saudi Arabia have taken historic steps to enhance their strategic partnership. President Donald Trump and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud signed agreements to expand Saudi investments in the US, as well as to cooperate in the fields of civil nuclear energy and defense.

He added that these agreements reflect the two countries’ shared commitment to regional security and stability.
