Saudi Arabia to host 17th ASOSAI General Assembly in Jeddah in 2027

Under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Court of Audit, will host the 17th session of the General Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in Jeddah, Makkah region, from September 12 to 16, 2027.

The ASOSAI General Assembly is one of the largest and most significant Asian events in public financial oversight and auditing, bringing together 48 heads of audit authorities and over 200 participants, including representatives from related international and regional organizations such as the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Alangari, President of the General Court of Audit, stated that hosting this event reflects the international community’s confidence in Saudi leadership and its prominent role in supporting the auditing and accounting profession regionally and globally.

Saudi presidency for the next term

Dr. Alangari added that Saudi Arabia will assume the presidency of ASOSAI from 2027 to 2030, further strengthening the Kingdom’s position in the field of oversight and accounting.

The General Court of Audit also emphasized its commitment to making the upcoming session a milestone in the organization’s history since its founding in 1979, by enhancing cooperation and joint work among member institutions to achieve the goals of ASOSAI and audit authorities across Asian countries.
