The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution, remain in safe places, avoid areas where floodwaters accumulate and valleys, refrain from swimming in them, and follow instructions issued through various media and social media platforms, as thunderstorms are expected to continue across most regions of the Kingdom until next Wednesday.

The National Center for Meteorology said in a statement that the Makkah region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and strong downdraft winds causing dust and sandstorms. This includes Taif, Adham, Maysan, and Al-Ardiyat, with light to moderate rain expected in Makkah city, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Al-Qunfudhah, and Al-Laith.

The center added that the regions of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha will also see moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods, hail, and strong winds stirring dust and sand. Light to moderate rain is also forecast for Madinah, Hail, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Tabuk, and the Eastern Province.
