Are private schools worth the cost? Expert weighs in

Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi, a former school administration supervisor, said that parents often seek comfort and convenience for their children throughout different educational stages. As a result, some choose private schools, citing reasons such as a more comfortable environment and smaller class sizes.

Speaking in a phone interview with Al Arabiya FM, Al-Ghamdi added that public schools provide a solid educational model, but tend to have higher classroom density compared to private schools, which also stand out for their greater use of smart technologies.

Al-Ghamdi emphasized that the Ministry of Education is currently working to ensure all schools reach a very high standard of education and obtain proper academic accreditation. He acknowledged that there are still differences between schools, but stressed that the ultimate goal is for all schools to achieve excellence—not only in academic achievement, but also in student development and talent discovery.
