The university's Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs and Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Khaled Al-Qattan, welcomed the new students, affirming the university's commitment to supporting them throughout their educational and professional journey, and preparing them to become successful doctors capable of serving patients and their communities.

Al-Qattan described the new cohort as a “legendary community,” noting that the students come from diverse backgrounds representing more than 40 communities, united by a shared goal of studying medicine, continuous learning, and achieving their professional ambitions.

He pointed out that graduates from previous cohorts are now working in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States, continuing to pursue their ambitions and serve patients. He expressed confidence that the 19th cohort will continue this legacy of success and achieve even greater results.

He emphasized that the students' educational journey will include intensive study, academic and practical training, as well as participation in community, national, and international initiatives, which will strengthen their connection to the profession and bring them closer to the real needs and challenges of society.

He explained that the university has prepared advanced buildings and facilities to support the educational and training process and student activities, stressing his ongoing readiness to listen to students, answer their questions, and support them throughout their journey.

Addressing the students, Al-Qattan said: “In five or six years, some of you will be sitting in these seats, leading, contributing, and making an impact,” encouraging them to share the joy of starting their medical journey with their families and friends.

For her part, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine Dr. Bara Al-Ghalayini presented a report on the initiatives of Alfaisal University's Office of Wellbeing for 2025-2026, which focused on physical activity, mental health, prevention, and strengthening community bonds within the university.
