Saudi Arabia plays key role in easing global conflicts, analyst says

Strategic analyst Mohammed Al-Harbi has said that Saudi Arabia plays an important role in easing conflicts and tensions around the world.

Speaking in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya Radio, Al-Harbi described the Kingdom as a balancing force in reducing conflicts globally, including in the Russia-Ukraine war and the US-Iran conflict. He noted that Saudi Arabia consistently adopts a centrist approach and offers political, diplomatic, and ethical counsel.

He added that senseless wars and conflicts are futile, warning that the global economy would suffer losses from a US-Iran war. Al-Harbi highlighted the region's strategic importance, noting that the Arabian Gulf supplies 20% of the world’s oil, 30% of liquefied and natural gas, and 30% of the chemical fertilizers essential for global supply and food chains.

Al-Harbi emphasized that Saudi Arabia aims to send a message that the economy, strategic corridors, and the transition to 21st-century economies are not only important for the region and the Middle East, but have a far-reaching impact on the entire world.
