Saudi crown prince's France visit to elevate partnership, says economist

Economist Dr. Bandar Al-Juaid told Al Ekhbariya TV that Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman's visit to France comes at a crucial time amid global geopolitical and economic changes. He said the visit reflects the alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and France's 2030 plan, and will broaden economic cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Juaid added that the establishment of the Saudi-French Strategic Partnership Council will elevate bilateral relations from partnership to a strategic level, noting that the council's meeting in Paris marks the beginning of this enhanced cooperation.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman arrived at Les Invalides in Paris at the start of his state visit to France, where he was welcomed with an official reception by French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu.

The crown prince's motorcade was accompanied by a group of French Republican Guard horsemen and ceremonial motorcycles in his honor, followed by the playing of the Saudi royal anthem and the French national anthem. The crown prince then reviewed the honor guard, who lined up to greet him, as the guard commander introduced the military units participating in the reception ceremony.
