King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital concludes annual international conference in Riyadh

The 43rd annual international conference of King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital and Research Center concluded today in Riyadh. The event, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from October 1 to 3, 2026, brought together leading ophthalmology experts and specialists from Saudi Arabia and around the world.

This year’s conference featured 88 Saudi speakers and 14 international speakers, including ophthalmologists and eye surgeons, who discussed the latest scientific and technological advancements in ophthalmology and eye surgery.

The conference focused on recent developments in several subspecialties, including the cornea, anterior segment, retinal and vitreous surgery, medical retina, uveitis, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgery.

Lectures, workshops, and medical exhibition

The scientific program included specialized lectures, hands-on training workshops, and in-depth discussions on the latest treatment methods and surgical techniques.

The organizing committee noted that the conference served as a scientific platform for knowledge exchange among specialists and an opportunity to explore the latest medical innovations that contribute to advancing healthcare practices and improving patient services.

Alongside the conference, a medical exhibition showcased the latest devices, technologies, and pharmaceuticals in ophthalmology and eye surgery.
