Yemeni resident arrested in Jazan for transporting six border violators

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan region have arrested a Yemeni resident for transporting six Ethiopian nationals in his vehicle, all of whom were found to be violating border security regulations. The individuals were detained, legal procedures were initiated, and the violators were referred to the competent authorities, while the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stated that anyone who facilitates the entry, transport, shelter, or assistance of border security violators within the Kingdom faces penalties of up to 15 years in prison, fines of up to one million riyals (SAR), confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used, and public naming.

He added that this offense is considered a major crime warranting detention and is regarded as dishonorable and a breach of trust. The public is urged to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
