Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Court of Audit (GCA) , has been elected for the membership of the Governing Board of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI). GCA won the membership by receiving 36 votes.

This came during the 15th General Assembly of ASOSAI that was held virtually today, under the presidency of Thailand, and was attended by supreme audit and financial control institutions from 43 Asian countries.

This achievement is added to the leadership positions that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by GCA, enjoys at the international and regional levels.

The General Court of Audit is the Second Vice-Chairman of International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and chair of INTOSAI's Policy, Finance, and Administration Committee (PFAC).

This is in addition to Co-chairing the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee.

Furthermore, GCA is representing the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in the Governing Board of INTOSAI and occupies the position of the Second Vice-chairman of ARABOSAI and will be chairing ARABOSAI on 2022.

President of GCA Dr. Hussam Alangari praised the limitless and generous support that the General Court of Audit enjoys from the leadership.

The GCA was the first regarding the majority of votes followed by Malaysia with 26 votes, Korea and Turkey with 25 votes for each, Russia with 24 votes, and at last the Pakistan and Philippines with 23 votes each.
