Saudi Arabia Vaccinates 98% of Healthcare Workers

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) disclosed that a new group of vaccines has arrived in the Kingdom. “These vaccines are under study and evaluation, and their approval will be announced soon,” it said.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 98% of healthcare workers at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s vaccination centers have received their COVID-19 vaccines.

It also announced that 93% of healthcare workers at Tetamman Clinics and Takkad Centers have been vaccinated.

The ministry said the vaccination of healthcare workers falls within Saudi Arabia’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and is a reflection of its efforts to protect and enhance the healthcare system.

The ministry added that the number of its healthcare personnel who received the coronavirus vaccines has exceeded 82% in total.

More than 14 million citizens and residents have received the coronavirus vaccination through more than 590 vaccination centers across Saudi Arabia.
