Saudi Arabia to host G20 Interfaith forum on religious values in October

Saudi Arabia is poised to virtually host the 7th G20 Religious Values Forum (Interfaith 7) in Riyadh from 13 -17 October 2020 which lasts for five days with the participation of more than 500 leaders, experts and representatives of world key religious and global policy institutions in addition to high-level religious personalities.

The forum is based on a partnership of a host of civil society, governmental organizations, semi governmental organizations, humanitarian, religious values institutions, social initiatives and academic institutions as well as decision makers related developmental organizations.

The forum seeks to increase awareness of the role of religious organizations in implementing the UN schedule for sustainable development 2030 which accommodates 17 objectives for sustainable development.

The alliance of partners organizing the event which includes King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue among followers of religions and cultures; UN alliance for civilizations; Religious Values Association for the G20 and the national committee following up the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for dialogue among the followers of regions and cultures announced their joint plans in Riyadh on Monday.
