Saudi Arabia takes part virtually in the 6th Arab Housing Conference in Tunisia

The Sixth Arab Housing Conference held on Tuesday an extraordinary virtual session with the participation of Saudi Arabia, in addition to a group of organizations and researchers specialized in this field.

"The conference represents an opportunity to exchange views and experiences on issues related to housing from various participating Arab countries," In an inauguration speech, Tunisian Minister of Equipment, Housing and Infrastructure, Kamal Doukh said.

For his part, on behalf of Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Assistant Secretary General of the League, Kamal Hassan, stressed in his speech the need to develop policies and strategies to reduce random construction and provide decent housing in the Arab world.

The two-day conference aims to check the general situation of informal settlements in Arab countries, evaluate completed programs to address them and limit their spread, in addition to strengthening coordination and cooperation between Arab countries to exchange knowledge, expertise and experiences.
