Saudi Arabia takes part in 23rd GCC e-Government Executive Committee Meeting

Saudi Arabia, represented by the Digital Government Authority, participated yesterday in the 23rd Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) e-Government Executive Committee meeting, chaired by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting was held in the presence of Governor of Saudi Digital Government Authority Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Suwaiyan, heads of e-government authorities and programs in GCC states and several specialists at the Council's General Secretariat.

The meeting discussed several issues listed on its agenda, including reviewing the report of the General Secretariat on which procedures have been implemented following the committee's 22nd meeting, preparing an assessment form for the implementation of the guiding strategy and the initiative to provide shared electronic services.

The meeting also discussed developments pertaining to the e-government connection project in GCC states, and the proposal to establish a team specialized in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, in addition to an initiative to prepare and implement a plan to enrich Arabic content on the Internet.
