Saudi Arabia Supports WHO with USD10,000,000 to Combat New Coronavirus

In a step to combat novel coronavirus(COVID-19), Saudi Arabia and the World Health Organization (WHO) are workingtogether.

In support of this effort, Saudi Arabia hasprovided USD10,000,000 to the World Health Organization for the implementationof urgent measures to minimize the spread of the disease and to supportcountries with vulnerable health infrastructures.

"This royal directive embodies the Kingdomof Saudi Arabia's noble humanitarian role and reflects its keenness to harnessits potential and resources in serving the humanitarian issues in collaborationwith the United Nations, its agencies and organizations as well as theinternational community." Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisorat the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid andRelief Center (KSrelief), said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Dr. Al Rabeeah appreciated this generousgesture from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Princewhich comes as an extension of the Kingdom's human stances during the crisesfaced by many people around the world.
