Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, met here yesterday with the Minister of Economic Development and Innovation of the Republic of Italy, Giancarlo Giorgetti.
During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation in the fields of communications, information technology, and space.
Minister Al-Sawaha also held a meeting with the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Peter Altmaier.
During the meeting, they discussed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to accelerate the digital transformation process, motivate entrepreneurship, and support the research, development and innovation system.
They also reviewed the investment opportunities available in the Saudi market to German companies specialized in the fields of technology, space, and innovation.
On the sidelines of the G20 leaders of the digital economy meetings Minister Al-Sawaha held extensive discussions with the Japanese Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Ryota Takeda.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of communications and information technology, and benefit from their technical development and advanced and distinguished expertise in this field.
After that, Minister Al-Sawaha met with the Minister of Communication and Information and Minister-in-charge of the Cyber Security Agency and Smart Nation Initiative in Singapore, Josephine Teo.
During the meeting, they reviewed the promising investment opportunities that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has in the fields of information technology, space, and innovation.
Minister Al-Sawaha met with his counterpart in South Africa, where they discussed opportunities for joint cooperation to accelerate the adoption of modern technologies and motivate digital entrepreneurship and partnership in the field of research, development, and innovation.
