Saudi Arabia sign MOU with an int'l program in support of the Palestinian people

Saudi Arabia signed here today a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in support of the Palestinian people.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Kingdom's permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, the secretary general of UNCTAD Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi and head of the department of support for the Palestinian people at UNCTAD Dr. Mahmoud Al-Khafif.

In remarks on the occasion, UNCTAD secretary general thanked the Kingdom for its support for the Palestinian people and its continuing partnership with UNCTAD.

For his part, Dr. Al-Wasel confirmed the Kingdom's firm stance by the side of the Palestinian people, noting that the Palestinian cause is a priority for the Kingdom, lauding UNCTAD's position towards the Palestinian people and hoping for more cooperation between the two sides.
