Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced the registration of 44 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 58 recoveries in the Kingdom in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health said in their statement that the number of active cases reached 2,777, including 244 critical cases.

The statistics showed that the total number of infections in the country reached 546,926, while the recovery tally reached 535,950.

"Five new deaths, bringing fatalities tally in the Kingdom to 8,699," the statement added.

The Ministry of Health advised everyone to contact the toll free (937) for consultations and inquiries around the clock, to obtain health information and services.
