Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali reported in a press conference that 36 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The daily reported number brings the total number of confirmed cases to 549,479, including 2,065 active cases. Of these, there are 49 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

Dr. Al-Abdulaali said that 48 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 538,590 cases. Also, one new death has been reported, bringing the total deaths to 8,824, said the health ministry spokesman.

The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that have been administered reached more than 47,000,000 doses, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said.
