Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health said in a statement today that 1,881 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom, bringing the total number to 87,142 cases, including 22,311 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 461 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. As many as 1,864 cases have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 64,306.
"The new confirmed cases include 37% Saudi citizens and 63% non-Saudi residents. The females represent 28% of the cases, while the males represent 72%. Only 4% of the reported cases are older persons, 11% are children and 85% are adults," the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry of Health also said that the new cases were reported in Riyadh (668), Jeddah (293), Dammam (290), Makkah (164), Jubail (62), Hofuf (39), Muzahmiyyah (27), Qatif (22), Khulais (21), Kharj (20), Madinah (19), Hail (19), Taif (17), Dhahran (14), Rafaya Al-Jemsh (13), Khobar (11), Wadi Al-Dawasir (11), Abha (10), Safwa (10), Tabuk (9), Najran (8), Bisha (7), Afif (7), Hotat Bani Tamim (7), Buraydah (6), Hafr Al-Batin (6), Arar (6), Sharurah (5), Dharma (5), Huraymla (5), Al-Majardah (4), Mahayil Asir (4), Ras Tanura (4), Baish (4), Kamil (4), Majma'a (4), Rain (4), Namas (3), Khamis Mushait (3), Khafji (3), Bathaa (3), Laila (3), Sulayyil (3), Zulfi (3), Namirah (2), Sahn (2), Balsamer (2), Rijal Alma (2), Jazan (2), Khaserah (2), Quwaiya (2), Hawtat Sudair (2), Ruwaidah Al-Ard (2), Jafr (1), Ayoun (1), Quoz (1), Ahad Rufaida (1), Bayer (1), Nairiya (1), Ghazaleh (1), Shamali (1), Harith (1), Eidabi (1), Yadamah (1), Artawyah (1) and Bijadyah (1).
The Ministry of Health also said that 22 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 525.
Regarding the lab tests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as many as 15,854 new lab tests have been conducted, bringing the total tests to date to 838,623.
"The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has jumped to 6,193,548 cases, of which 2,656,267 cases have recovered to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 372,479," the Ministry of Health said.
