Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that 984 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom.

The daily reported number brings the total number of infected cases to 457,456, including 9,446 active cases, according to the Health Ministry statement.

"There are 1,545 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable," the statement said.

"16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,456," it added.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,185 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 440,644.
