Saudi Arabia removes the Protective Barricades Placed Around Kaaba

President General of the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosques' Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais announced the removal of the protective barricades that have been placed around the Holy Kaaba within the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, in coordination with the relevant security and health authorities.

He affirmed that the presidency is working effectively with a high level of coordination to review and evaluate precautionary measures and ensure their effectiveness and necessity, and accordingly, the directive was issued to remove the barricades and intensify sterilization and disinfection operations.

He revealed the presidency's operational plan for the holy month of Ramadan 1441 H, which included 3,500 workers working around the clock to sterilize the Grand Mosque and its outter yards.

Sheikh Al-Sudais thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for their care, support and follow-up to the Two Holy Mosques.
