Saudi Arabia's King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) team, in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP), inspected Yesterday a project to improve the food security and nutritional needs of the most vulnerable families in a number of Yemeni governorates.
The inspection visit included one of the distribution points for nutritional assistance for children in the health center in Dar Saad District, Aden Governorate.
During inspection visit, the team was briefed on the progress being made in the project, in the presence of the Director of the Health Ministry's office in Aden, Dr. Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Head of Yemeni High Relief Committee Jamal Balfaqih and the Director of WFP's office in Aden Mutinta Chimuka.
The project aims to meet the priorities of food security and nutritional needs resulting from the (IPC) report to analyze food insecurity in Yemen. It benefits 2,333,333 individuals in 21 Yemeni governorates, at a cost of USD 40 million.
Director of WFP's office in Aden praised the support being provided by KSRelief for the project and its response to food security needs in many Yemeni governorates, stressing the importance of such projects that significantly improve food security.
