Saudi Arabia, Egypt Sign Cooperation Agreements on Housing Sector

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and its Egyptian counterpart signed today an executive program for cooperation, as well as a cooperation program in the field of cooperative housing.

Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammad Al-Badir, and the Egyptian Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects, Eng. Khaled Abbas signed the joint executive cooperation program between the two ministries, while Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the Ministry's Undersecretary for Customer trial and Customer Services, and the Supervisor General of the General Department of Institutional Partnerships and International Cooperation and Dr. Hossam Rizk -Chairman of the General Authority for Construction and Housing Cooperatives signed the cooperation program agreement in the field of cooperative housing.

Praising the signing of the two agreements, Al-Badir this cooperation will be a successful model for cooperation between Arab countries, in the field of urban development.

For his part, Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr stressed that the agreements set a detailed program for exchanging expertise in a way that enhances areas of cooperation in the housing sector between the two countries and serves the objectives of strengthening cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Minister of Housing, Dr. Assem El-Gazar said that cooperation between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is open in all fields, especially urban development, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership in the two countries and given the strength and solid ground of historical relations between the two states.

Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Naqli, praised the impressive renaissance that the Kingdom and Egypt are witnessing, especially in the field of construction and housing, noting that both countries have successful experiences in this sector.

Ambassador Naqli said this cooperation reflects the strong will of the political leadership in the two countries and their keenness to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various fields.
