Saudi Arabia have confirmed the establishinga Middle East nuclear-weapons-and-weapons-of-mass destruction free is acollective responsibility at the international level.
The Kingdom also urged theinternational community, the United Nations and the States parties to theTreaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons to fulfill their commitmentsto the establishment of such a zone in order to promote peace, security andstability in the Middle East and the world.
This came in the Kingdom's speechbefore the Third Session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2020 ReviewConference of the Parties to the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of NuclearWeapons.
The Kingdom's speech was delivered byPrince Saud bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, member of the Kingdoms delegationparticipating in the session at United Nations headquarters in New York.
