Saudi Arabia Calls on UN to Review Monitoring of Agencies Working in Humanitarian Programs

Saudi Arabia called on the United Nations andits organizations to review the mechanisms of monitoring, evaluation andreporting to ensure impartiality, transparency, disclosure and engagement ofdonors by submitting detailed reports on all financial and accountingprocedures of the implementing agencies for humanitarian programs and projectsfunded by the Kingdom.

This came during the Kingdom's speech beforethe 6th Committee (Legal Committee), which was held to discuss the 78th item(Criminal Accountability of UN Officials & Experts on Mission), during the74th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Kingdom's speech was delivered today bySaad Abdullah Al-Arjani, the First Secretary and Member of the Kingdom'sPermanent Delegation to the United Nations.
