  • Saudi Arabia,Bahrain, and the UnitedArab of Emirates submitted a joint file to host the 2021FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has officially submitted a joint file with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab of Emirates to apply to the International Football Association (FIFA) to organize the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The three Arab federations decided to submit the file officially to FIFA tobecome one of the candidate countries to host the finals of FIFA U-20 World Cupto be hold in 2021.

The submission of the tripartite file between the federations; Bahrain,Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab of Emirates to host the 2021 World Youth Cupwithin the context of mutual cooperation between the three Arab federations andtheir keenness to organize various major football events at all levels,including the international ones. The tripartite mutual file is the first ofits kind in the Gulf to host the World Youth Cup, to be held in 2021.

The 22nd edition will kick off tomorrow, Thursday in Poland andwill run until June 15th with the participation of 24 national teams,including Saudi Arabia, the holder of the AFC U-19 Championship's title andQatar that was qualified for the Asian Cup semi-finals.

FIFA has given a chance for the countries wishing to host the tournamentuntil May 21st to officially submit their files to confirm theircandidature on August 30th, while the FIFA council selects the hostcountry in the fourth quarter of this year.

Becoming the second Arab country to host the WorldYouth Cup, Saudi Arabia hosted it in 1989, after Tunisia 1977, followed byQatar 1995, the UAE 2003, and Egypt 2009.
