Riyadh to host ‘Age old cities’ exhibition with attendance of Iraqi PM

With attendance a number of officials, ministers, diplomats and intellectuals, Iraq Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi has opened "Age Old Cities Destroyed by Terrorism" exhibition that organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Arab World Institute in Paris, at the National Museum in Riyadh .

The exhibition, that takes place at Riyadh , will continue for one month until May 18, 2019, as it will receive visitors daily from 4 pm to 10 pm.

"TheExhibition presents the story of Arab cultural and archaeological sites thatwere destroyed or under the threat of destroying for various reasons," Theofficial Saudi Arabia's Press Agency said.

"In thecontext of a virtual journey by the visitors to these famous sites usingvirtual reality techniques, in order to raise awareness of the importance ofpreserving and protecting these sites from all potential threats,"

The Ministry of Culture's interest in hosting the exhibition in the Kingdom is based on its care of cultural and archaeological sites and its keenness on raising public awareness of the importance of preserving these sites
