Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan made a phone call on Wednesday to his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
During the call; Prince Faisal expressed Saudi Arabia's solidarity with India in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
They also discussed bilateral relations; aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries; and regional and international developments.
Saudi Arabia's show of support comes as India on Wednesday also registered a record spike in coronavirus-related deaths over the last 24 hours; pushing its total fatalities past the 250;000-mark.
According to the federal health ministry's figures; 4;205 more deaths were also reported over the past 24 hours.
