Despite differences in our cultures and languages; we share our belief that education is everyone's right. As preserving heritage means securing the future. Besides, innovation and science can only lead us out of this pandemic, said Princess Haifa Al-Muqrin; Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to UNESCO. This is during the opening of 209th session of the Executive Council of the UNESCO on Thursday.

Princess Haifa is joined by a Saudi cultural team comprising 26 male and female experts; representing all relevant sectors in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia's participation in the UNESCO's executive council meeting comes as part of the continued efforts made by Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan; the Minister of Culture and President of the National Committee for Education, Science and Culture to support culture, education and science sectors.

Princess Haifa in her speech stressed that combined joint efforts at the global level can only bring changes; which in turn will help achieve common goals to promote peace; build cultural bridges between peoples; as well as empower societies around the world to ensure a better future.

Princess Haifa said that Saudi Arabia has always supported African countries. Also, it is ready to share its experiences at various UNESCO forums.
