Passports Directorate Extends Visit Visa for Cases Affected by Preventive Measures against COVID-19

Upon directives of Interior Minister PrinceAbdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdualziz, the Directorate General of Passportsallows the service of extending visit visas of all kinds of visitors who areinside the Kingdom, through the Absher platform (Absher Individual, AbsherBusiness, Expatriate) or by visiting the Passports' departments in the regionsif the visa cannot be extended electronically, in line with the decision tosuspend the international flights for travelers.

The Directorate General of Passports called onall expatriates in the Kingdom if their visit visas, all kinds, are almost toexpire or the period of their stay in the Kingdom exceeded the full period ofthe visit specified by (180) days and it was not possible to extend their visitvisas through the services electronically, it is necessary to pay the fees forextending the visit visa for a similar period to the period specified in thebasic visa for residency in the Kingdom and to visit the nearest department ofthe Passports to complete the necessary procedures to extend the validity oftheir visas.

The Passports Directorate affirmed that it iscurrently coordinating with the National Information Center to include the exceptionalextension service of the visit visa within the electronic services through theportal of the Ministry of Interior in the Absher platform (Absher Individual,Absher Business, Expatriate).
