Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has voiced utmost condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militias targeting of civilians and civilian objects in Jazan City through five ballistic missiles and four bomb-laden UAVs.

The Secretary General praised the capabilities and professionalism of the Royal Saudi Air Defense that managed to intercept and destroy the ballistic missiles and UAVs, which spared civilians and civilian objects big losses.

He also stressed that the attempts by terrorist Houthi militias, and those who finance them and provide them with arms, to target civilian objects that are protected under the International Humanitarian Law and the attempt to target Jazan University represent a dangerous escalation and a war crime.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen also stressed OIC's support to the procedures adopted by the coalition forces to deal with the practices of the terrorist Houthi militias, in a bid to protect all civilians and civilian objects, stressing the organization's full support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in countering terrorist crimes perpetrated by those militias. He also supported all measures and procedures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopts to preserve its security and stability, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.

Meanwhile, the Arab Parliament has deplored terrorist Houthi militias' launching of several bomb-laden UAVs and ballistic missiles towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which were all successfully intercepted and destroyed by the forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Arab Parliament stressed that the continuous hostility attempts by the militias are systematic and target civilians and civilian objects, where their ongoing escalation reflects blatant challenge to the international law and rejection of all political efforts aimed at ending the Yemeni crisis, which serves Iran's subversive agendas in the region. The Arab Parliament also called on the international community to play a role and bear its responsibilities towards these militias and deter them from their rejected violations.

The Arab Parliament voiced its full support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in terms of the procedures it takes to protect its security and safety of its residents, reiterating that the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of regional security and stability.

Also, the Arab Parliament commended the efforts of the forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen and their operational procedures to protect civilians and civilian objects from terrorist attacks, as well as their success in intercepting and destroying the cowardly goals of the terrorist Houthi militias.
