Saudi Passports Directorate outlines steps if unable to issue passport via Absher

The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has clarified the procedure to follow if a passport application cannot be completed through the Absher platform.

According to the directorate, via its official account on X, if the process cannot be completed on Absher, applicants should book an appointment and visit the Passports Directorate in person to finalize the necessary procedures.

This clarification came in response to an inquiry from a user who said: “Hello, every time I try to apply for a passport, my request is rejected. Absher shows nothing, and the passport offices also see nothing. How can I find out the reason?”

The directorate confirmed that booking an appointment and visiting the Passports Directorate is the available procedure when passport issuance cannot be completed electronically via Absher.
