The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday announced the formation of a constitutional committee for Syria, in an effort to help move ahead a peace process and resolve political disputes in the country after nearly eight years of war.
"I strongly believe that the launch of the Syrian-owned and Syrian-led constitutional committee can, and must, be the beginning of the political path out of the tragedy," Guterres said in New York.
Accordingto DPA, the process will be run out of Geneva.
